Strengthening Local Manufacturing Through Innovation and Investment
In 2023, the Federal Government awarded Wesbeam an Accelerate of Wood Processing Innovation Program Grant of $4.5 million. This contribution has assisted Wesbeam in funding an $11.5 million total capital expenditure investment in its manufacturing facility in Neerabup, Perth.
Since then, Wesbeam has implemented a series of upgrades designed to significantly improve manufacturing efficiency, log yield, operational performance and machine capability. These investments include new processing technology and equipment that strengthen Wesbeam’s manufacturing capabilities, improve resource efficiency and support the continued development of locally manufactured engineered timber products.
